GERA is a family business with currently 30 employees and is based in Wuppertal.
In 1962, company founder Albrecht Radeke began producing feed silos made of PVC-coated fabrics in the company’s own production facility in Wuppertal-Cronenberg. In 1971, it was his son, Jochen Radeke, who designed the first protective cloths for mowers from this material, which until then had been made exclusively from the significantly heavier and naturally more expensive conveyor belt rubber. After the approval by the agricultural machinery manufacturers, the same was given by the Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft and from then on GERA was able to count the majority of well-known agricultural machinery manufacturers among its customers. Through constant optimisation and modernisation of production processes and technologies, as well as enormous reliability, flexibility and quality, this customer base has been maintained and even expanded to this day.
Due to the enormous growth, the space at the old location was unfortunately at its limit, so in autumn 2020 the company moved to the newly built, state-of-the-art production hall with adjoining warehouse and integrated office wing. Following this major step, we are confident that we are ideally positioned for the growth of our customers and the constantly increasing demands of the market. Nevertheless, we will never stop critically scrutinising ourselves and every single process, because there is always room for improvement! Since 2012, the company has been managed by the third generation, Felix Radeke, who will continue to develop GERA with a strong and competent team in the coming years.
